Yahoo+ (2022) Frustrated by their failure to break into Nollywood, two childhood friends, Ose and Abacha went into fraud as a side hustle. Unluckily for them, Yahoo doesn’t pay them as quickly as they expected. Luckily for them, Mansa a Hong-Kong based crime lord offers to help them by introducing them to Yahoo+.Set in the year 2022, the film centers around Obinna, a young and ambitious computer whiz eager to escape the shackles of poverty and make a name for himself. Disillusioned by the lack of opportunities, he succumbs to the allure of quick wealth through internet fraud, commonly known as “Yahoo.”
Yahoo+ (2022) Guided by his cunning friend, Emeka, Obinna delves deeper into the world of cybercrime, reveling in newfound riches, luxury, and the admiration of his peers. However, his actions soon draw the attention of an enigmatic figure known as “Alhaji,” a dark and elusive mastermind who promises to take Obinna’s wealth to unfathomable heights through a dangerous ritual called “Yahoo+.”
As Obinna’s greed grows, he hesitantly accepts Alhaji’s proposal, unaware of the terrifying consequences that lie ahead. The ritual is said to involve the sacrifice of a loved one, but Obinna’s hunger for power blinds him to the horrors that await him and those he holds dear.
The film takes a haunting turn when Obinna’s world begins to unravel. He finds himself haunted by malevolent spirits, relentlessly tormenting him and driving him to the brink of madness. With the walls closing in, he desperately seeks a way out, racing against time to break free from the clutches of the malevolent forces.
