Train to Busan (2016) Sok-woo, a father with not much time for his daughter, Soo-ahn, are boarding the KTX, a fast train that shall bring them from Seoul to Busan. But during their journey, the apocalypse begins, and most of the earth’s population become flesh craving zombies. While the KTX is shooting towards Busan, the passenger’s fight for their families and lives against the zombies – and each other.
The story unfolds as Seok-woo, a workaholic fund manager, reluctantly agrees to take his young daughter Su-an on a train journey to Busan to visit her mother. Seok-woo’s strained relationship with his daughter becomes evident as he struggles to balance his demanding career with his responsibilities as a father.
Train to Busan (2016) [Korean] As the train departs from Seoul, a mysterious virus outbreak begins to spread rapidly, turning people into bloodthirsty zombies. Chaos erupts on the train as the infected passengers start attacking and infecting others, and soon, the entire train becomes a battleground for survival.
Among the fellow passengers are a diverse group of characters, each fighting their own battles. Sang-hwa, a tough and resourceful man, tries to protect his pregnant wife, Seong-kyeong. Yong-suk, a selfish and arrogant businessman, prioritizes his interests over others. And there’s the high school baseball team, led by the charismatic Yong-guk, who must find a way to survive and protect each other.
Amidst the terror and desperation, Seok-woo and Su-an find themselves at the center of the unfolding nightmare. The journey to Busan becomes not just a quest for safety but also an emotional journey of redemption and self-discovery for Seok-woo as he strives to protect his daughter and those around him.
