A decade on from Wizkid’s introduction single, 2020 saw the Nigerian’s royal celebration as an undisputed Afrobeats symbol. Worldwide names including Justin Bieber and Damian Marley along with arising ones (see: Tems and maker P2J) helped Wizkid’s fourth collection Made in Lagos figure out some kind of harmony to energize bases at home and abroad, and opened new aspects to his unique Afro-combination. “That was where I’m from. Also, presently you know it’s the ideal opportunity for me to show the world what else we really need right now,” Wizkid tells Apple Music. “Furthermore, that is a ton of adoration.
